Härjedalen's put-and-take waters are mountain waters with brown trout and arctic char. Hån-Vemdalens FVOF has several named put-and-take waters around Vemdalen and Vemhån, including Oxsjön, Hanakamtjärn, Järpbäcksdammen below Högfjället and Varggranstjärn at Vemdalsskalet. They require a put-and-take day or season permit – the ordinary area permit is not enough.
Överhogdals FVOF has Rötjärnen with rainbow trout and Abborrtjärnen with char and brown trout, each with its own permit. Oltjärn by the cabin resort outside Hede is Hede SFF's put-and-take water with rainbow trout, brown trout and char.
