Abborrsjön

Abborrsjön is Dellenbygdens FVO’s put and take in Hudiksvall municipality, Hälsingland. Here they stock rainbow trout and Arctic char. A special day permit marked Abborrsjön — ordinary Dellen permits do not apply on the P&T lakes. We do not sell the permits. This is western Dellenbygden, not the coast.

Species

One rod per angler according to the seller. Typical of stocked salmonids in a forest lake: they can stand along the edges after release.

Children under 16 fish on a guardian’s permit in the P&T lakes according to the FVO. Extra permits may be bought when the quota is filled.

Lures and flies

Toward stocked rainbow trout and Arctic char, small spinners, spoons and simple nymphs in olive, black and orange often work. The tips are general for the species and therefore not specific to Abborrsjön.

Change colour and depth if nothing happens for a while. After stocking the fish may take near the surface.

When they bite

Stocking is decided by Dellenbygdens FVO. Morning and evening are often nicer than high sun. Check that the P&T permit is open the same day — the year permit for the Dellen lakes is not enough.

Getting there

The map pin sits on Abborrsjön in western Dellenbygden, Hudiksvall municipality. Not Mjusen at Enånger and not Mjusjön at Bjuråker.
