Nottjärn

Nottjärn is put and take in Piteå municipality, at Svensbyn. Svensby Fiskevårdsförening stocks salmonids. The association highlights fly fishing and allows a float tube here, unlike Vitsjön and Djuptjärn. We do not sell the permits — buy via the association’s page.

Species

Planted rainbow trout, brown trout and Arctic char according to the same association. This page is Nottjärnen at Svensbyn, not other Nottjärnen in Norrbotten.

Open, flat banks according to the club. That is why fly fishing.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

Here: fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing as long as the permit does not say otherwise. Float tube allowed in Nottjärn. Boats still banned. Premiere weekend fewer rods according to the association.

Not the only method — but the club calls the tarn a fly-fishing lake.

When they bite

Stocking is decided by the association. Winter opening has followed Djuptjärn rather than Vitsjön according to older news. Check the site.

Getting there

The association’s map, Svensbyn. Not Nottjärnen in other municipalities. Park where it is signed.

Vitsjön and Djuptjärn sit in the same forest. Three lakes, three pages. Respect private jetties.

Take rubbish home. Fires only where the association directs. Open banks mean wind. Bring extra line. A float tube requires that you can get in and out without disturbing bank anglers.

Buy the permit before you cast. Quota and whether fish may be taken home sit with the seller and can change.
