Djuptjärn

Djuptjärn is put and take in Piteå municipality, at Svensbyn. Svensby Fiskevårdsförening stocks rainbow trout, brown trout and Arctic char. The same association as Vitsjön and Nottjärn. We do not sell the permits — buy via the association’s page.

Species

Planted salmonids are the put-and-take reason. About ten hectares according to the association. This page is Djuptjärnen in the Svensby cluster, not other Djuptjärnen in Piteå municipality and not Orsa’s Djuptjärn.

The association writes family-friendly. An accessible jetty and toilet. A boardwalk around the lake, smaller jetties, a wind shelter and a kåta.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

Here: fly fishing, spin fishing, bait fishing and ice jigging when ice fishing is open. Boats and float tubes are banned here. Float tube belongs to Nottjärn. Premiere weekend fewer rods according to the association.

Lures and flies

Small spinners and a nymph against stocked rainbow trout. The tips are general.

When they bite

Stocking is decided by the association. A winter premiere around Christmas has occurred according to club news. Check the site before ice fishing.

Getting there

The map pin sits at Djuptjärnen between Vitsjön and Nottjärn at Svensbyn. Not Djuptjärnen further south in the municipality. Park where it is marked.

Vitsjön is the large lake to the west. Nottjärn is the fly water next door. Three pages, one place to buy.

Take your rubbish home. Fires at prepared sites. Respect private plots. The association has stocking news per lake. A stocking in Djuptjärn is not the same day as Vitsjön. Read the right post.

Rules

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The same association rules for all three lakes unless the site says otherwise. Current prices are on the permit seller’s page.

Buy the permit before you cast. We do not sell it. Rules, quota and whether fish may be kept are with the seller and they change.
