Härlanda tjärn

Härlanda tjärn is put and take in the Delsjö area at Björkekärr, Göteborg municipality. Sportfiskarna stocks rainbow trout every year according to the Gula Kortet guide. Gula Kortet applies; targeted carp fishing needs an add-on with the seller. We do not sell the permits. Not Västra Långevattnet.

Species

Rainbow trout is the main species. There are also perch, pike, tench and carp. This page is Härlanda tjärn as a salmonid water, not the Delsjö lakes and not Östra Långevattnet.

About seventeen hectares according to the guide. Typical of stocked rainbow trout in a nutrient-rich tarn near the city: they can take along edges and at a jetty after stocking.

Youth under 16 fish free in Gula Kortet waters according to the seller, with the same tackle rules.

Lures and flies

For stocked rainbow trout, small spinners, spoons and simple nymphs in olive, black and orange often work. The tips are general for the species and therefore not specific to Härlanda tjärn.

Change colour and depth if it is dead for a while. Reeds and vegetation make short casts along the bank more practical than long casts out.

When they bite

Stocking is decided by Sportfiskarna, often spring or autumn. Morning and evening are often nicer than high sun. Check it is open the same day you go.

The map pin sits on Härlanda tjärn at Björkekärr, Göteborg. Reached from a bus stop or Skatås. Not Stora Mölnesjön in Rannebergen.

Rules

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. Salmonid quota, carp add-on and catch-and-release of carp and tench belong to Sportfiskarna and they change. Current prices are on the permit seller’s page.

The lake is marked as family-friendly because the guide mentions the tarn as suitable for children and it is easy to reach by bus. It is still a lake — keep watch.
