Västra Långevattnet

Västra Långevattnet is put and take in the Delsjö area, Göteborg municipality. Sportfiskarna stock rainbow trout annually according to the Gula Kortet guide. It is Gula Kortet that applies here, not Blå Kortet for Norra Långevattnet. We do not sell the permits. A cycle path goes to the lake from Delsjöarna.

Species

Rainbow trout is the main species, plus perch that occurs naturally. This page is Västra Långevattnet north of Lilla Delsjön, not Norra Långevattnet at Delsjömotet and not Östra Långevattnet.

The lake is about seven hectares according to the guide. Typical of planted rainbow trout in a small forest lake: they can take along the edges after stocking.

Bathers have priority in summer. Young people under 16 fish free in Gula Kortet waters according to the seller, with the same rules as permit holders.

Lures and flies

For planted rainbow trout, small spinners, spoons and simple nymphs in olive, black and orange often work. The tips are general for the species and therefore not specific to Västra Långevattnet.

Change colour and depth if it is dead for a while. After stocking the fish can take near the surface.

When they bite

Stocking is decided by Sportfiskarna, often spring or autumn. Morning and evening are often nicer than high sun. Check open and current rules the same day you go.

Getting there

The map pin sits on Västra Långevattnet in the Delsjö area, Göteborg. Cycle path from Delsjöarna. Not Härlanda tjärn and not Mölndal’s Norra Långevattnet.

Park where it is signed around Delsjöarna, not on the cycle path. The map is a pin, not a parking map.

Rules
