Göl 39 is one of Hökensås Sportfiske’s put-and-take lakes in Hökensås nature reserve, Tidaholm municipality. Rainbow trout is stocked here, often together with brown trout. The tarn is a yellow lake: fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing. It sits next to Stora Öjasjön and Lilla Öjasjön. The permit is not the same as the Tiveden or Baltak permits.
Species
Rainbow trout is the main species. Hökensås stocks salmonids in named lakes, so-called put and take. This page is Göl 39, not the Öjasjöarna. The name is the operator’s own; the public map has no sign with that number.
Rainbow trout in a small, deep tarn can sit tight by the bank. The ground around it can be wet. Stay on boardwalks and beaten paths.
Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing
Yellow lake: fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing are allowed. One rod. Groundbaiting and live fish as bait are banned. Your own boats, canoes and rafts may not be used. The same yellow permit opens the other yellow lakes. A red permit also opens yellow waters.
The reserve has its own rules: camping is banned in the area, fires only at marked barbecue sites. Cars only on marked roads.
The permit is sold digitally and in machines at Fiskecentret. Buy it before you fish.
Lures and flies
Small spoons and spinners in silver, white or orange are a common start where spinning is allowed. On fly: nymph, pupa and a simple streamer. The tips are general for rainbow trout in a tarn.
Fish one bank properly before you change.
When they bite
Morning and evening are often best. In summer the fish can go deeper in the middle of the day. Stocking is decided by Hökensås. Ice fishing has its own season on yellow and red lakes, not on the blue ones.
Getting there
The map pin is the unnamed fishing water west of Stora Öjasjön, where Hökensås places Göl 39 and mentions parking between Stora Öjasjön and the tarn. Drive toward Hökensås Fiskecentrum at Håkängen, Tidaholm. Maps are with the operator.
With the seller or hokensas.se: choose the Hökensås permit, not Tiveden.
Rules
Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal. Quota, boat hire and season belong to Hökensås and they change.
Give space if someone is already on the bank. Take your rubbish home. If the lake is closed for stocking, it shows on the seller’s page. Park so rescue and other guests can get through. Follow signs at the water, not only the map pin.
