Bergsjön is put and take in eastern Göteborg municipality, by the district of the same name. Sportfiskarna stock rainbow trout every year according to the Gula Kortet guide. Gula Kortet applies, not Blå Kortet and not the Tiveden permit for Bergsjön in Karlsborg. We do not sell the permits.
Species
Rainbow trout is the main species, plus perch and roach. This page is Bergsjön in Göteborg, not Tiveden’s Bergsjön and not Stora Mölnesjön at Rannebergen.
About four hectares according to the guide. Typical of stocked rainbow trout in a small city lake: they can take along the edges after release.
Unlike several Gula Kortet lakes where only fly fishing is allowed, fly, spin and bait are allowed here — read the permit rules for this lake. In a city lake near people the fish circulate along the edges after a stocking.
County: Västra Götalands län. Province: Västergötland.
Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing
Here: fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing unless the seller says otherwise for this lake. Read Gula Kortet’s rules before you pack — other Gula Kortet lakes are fly only.
Young people under 16 fish free in Gula Kortet waters according to the seller, with the same tackle rules.
Lures and flies
For stocked rainbow trout, small spinners, spoons and simple nymphs in olive, black and orange often work. The tips are general for the species and therefore not specific to Bergsjön.
Change colour and depth if it is dead for a while. Walk the last stretch quietly.
When they bite
Stocking is decided by Sportfiskarna, often spring or autumn. Morning and evening are often nicer than high sun. Check that it is open the same day you go.
Stocked rainbow trout are liveliest in cool water and just after a stocking, often spring or autumn, and bite best at dawn and dusk. In a well-visited city lake, early morning is often both the quietest and the fishiest.
Getting there
The map pin sits on Bergsjön in Östra Bergsjön, Göteborg. Not Tiveden’s Bergsjön and not Prästtjärnen in Partille.
Park where it is marked in the district. The map is a pin, not a parking map.
The Buy permit button goes to Gula Kortet. Blå Kortet is not enough here.
Rules
Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The salmonid quota and what applies to all of Gula Kortet belong to Sportfiskarna and they change. Current prices are on the permit seller’s page.
