Drängsjön is Österåkers Sportfiskeklubb’s put-and-take lake at Domaruddens friluftsgård in Österåker municipality. The club stocks rainbow trout, brown trout and brook trout. Guest permits are bought digitally. Members have their own products. The lake sits about forty kilometres from central Stockholm.
Species
The main species is planted rainbow trout, which the club stocks year-round. Brown trout is usually stocked in autumn. Brook trout is named ahead of winter fishing. It is salmonid fishing, not archipelago perch.
Rainbow trout here is fished from the bank for paying guests. Members can according to the club book a boat. Parts of the lake are closed to both bank and boat fishing — see the map at the water.
Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing
The club describes put and take without a method key on the overview page. Fly fishing and spin fishing are the methods we filter on. Bait fishing is not documented — read the permit terms. Outboards are not allowed.
Domarudden has according to the club a café, a swimming beach, barbecue sites and parking. That is the outdoor centre’s offer, not a guarantee that you may fish from the beach. Follow the signs at the lake.
Lures and flies
Small spoons and spinners in silver, white or orange are a common start for lake rainbow trout. Brown trout and brook trout may want a deeper run, especially when the surface water is warm. On fly: a nymph along the bank, a streamer over depth. The tips are general for the species, not a tip from a single day at Domarudden.
Fish allowed bank. Walking into a closed area for one extra cast is not worth the permit.
When they bite
Morning and evening are often best. Guest permits are sold among other things as twelve-hour — check validity before you plan a long day. Ice fishing with brook trout belongs to winter and the club’s terms, not to this page’s summer filter.
Getting there
The lake sits at Domaruddens friluftsgård in Österåker municipality. The map pin is the named lake. Park according to the outdoor centre’s signs, not at the roadside where it is banned.
The permit sold digitally is marked Drängsjön. The club’s other waters (Åkers kanal, Trastsjön, Södersjön) are other products.
Rules
Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal. Quota, the difference between member and guest and closed zones belong to the club and they change. Youth under eighteen fish free according to the seller in company with a paying adult, with their own terms for members.
The lake is marked as family-friendly with parking at the outdoor centre, barbecue sites and a clear youth rule. That does not replace reading the map of where you may stand.
