Djuptjärn

Djuptjärn is one of Rajastrands FVOF’s put-and-take waters in Dorotea municipality. Rainbow trout is stocked here. The same P&T permit covers Västertjärn, but Västertjärn has no unique marker of its own on the map we use. Summer fishing has a short season according to the seller. Not Grubbtjärn.

Species

Stocked salmonids are what you fish here. The seller sells a P&T permit for Djuptjärn and Västertjärn. This page is Djuptjärn. This is not Djuptjärn in Vilhelmina.

Rainbow trout in a forest tarn can take close to the bank. After a stocking they can sit tight. Walk the last stretch quietly.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

The product does not name a method ban. Count on fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing until the seller says otherwise. One rod unless the notice says otherwise.

The permit is sold via iFiske. Read the opening hours carefully: the summer window is limited.

Lures and flies

Small spoons and spinners in silver, white or orange are a common start. On fly: a nymph. The tips are general for rainbow trout in a tarn.

When they bite

Morning and evening are often best. Stocking and the open window are decided by the FVOF. Check with the permit seller the same day you go.

The map pin sits at Djuptjärn at Rajastrand, Dorotea municipality. Drive toward Rajastrand, not toward Vilhelmina.

With the seller: choose PnT Djuptjärn och Västertjärn, not the Grubbtjärn permit.

Rules

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal. Quota and season belong to the FVOF and they change.

Look at the map and the signs at the water before you start. Names repeat in other municipalities. The permit you bought must match this lake. Give space if someone is already there. Take your rubbish home. Park so rescue and other guests can get through. Follow signs at the water, not only the map pin. If the lake is closed for stocking, it shows on the seller’s page.
