Bergvattensjön is Dorotea municipality’s put-and-take water in Dorotea municipality. Rainbow trout, Arctic char and brown trout are stocked here. There is also natural perch, pike and whitefish.
Species
Stocked salmonids are what you fish here. This page is Bergvattensjön by Dorotea town, not the other Bergvattensjön further south in the same municipality.
Rainbow trout and other stocked salmonids can take close to the bank after stocking and then sit deeper. Typical of that kind of water.
Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing
Fly, spin and bait. Jetties around the lake. Check ice and season with the permit seller.
The permit is sold digitally by Dorotea kommun.
Lures and flies
Small spoons and spinners in silver, white or orange are a common start where spinning is allowed. On fly: nymph, pupa and streamer. The tips are general for fishing stocked salmonids.
Fish one spot properly.
When they bite
Morning and evening are often best. In warmer water the fish often seek depth in the middle of the day. Stocking is decided by whoever manages the water. Check season and ice with the permit seller.
Getting there
The map pin is the named lake Bergvattensjön at Dorotea town, E45. Not Bergvattensjön at Granåsen further south.
Buy the permit from the link on the page before you cast.
Rules
Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal. Quota and season belong to the seller and they change.
Give space if someone is already on the jetty or boardwalk. Take your rubbish home. If the lake is closed for stocking, it shows on the seller’s page. Park so rescue and other guests can get through. Follow signs at the water, not only the map pin.
