Böljesjön is put and take in Ale municipality, at Järnbo. Abborresjöns FVF stocks rainbow trout. Fly fishing only. Casting jetties and wading spots. We do not sell the permits.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

Lures and flies

A nymph or a simple streamer in olive, black or dark often enough as a start against stocked rainbow trout. If they are rising a small dry can do the job; otherwise vary depth and retrieve until you find the fish. General species tactics and therefore not specific to Böljesjön.

When they bite

Stocking is decided by the association. The season is time-limited. Check an open permit with the seller before you go.

The map pin sits at Böljesjön in Ale municipality, a bit south of the other three lakes. A toilet at the car park according to the club. Not Abborresjön further north.

Buy a valid permit before you fish, stick to the quota and kill quickly the fish you keep. Because it is fly only here you do not need other tackle — but read the club’s fly rules.
