Lille Havsjön

Lille Havsjön is one of Hökensås Sportfiske’s put-and-take lakes in Hökensås nature reserve, Tidaholm municipality. Rainbow trout is stocked here, often together with brown trout. The lake is a red fly-fishing lake. Maps also call it Lilla Havssjön. A float tube with fins is allowed. The permit is not the same as the Tiveden or Baltak permits.

Species

Rainbow trout is the main species. Hökensås stocks salmonids in named lakes — put and take. This page is Lille Havsjön, not the other lakes on the ridge.

Rainbow trout in a forest lake can take along the edges and over deeper water. After a stocking they can sit tight for a short time. Walk quietly the last stretch.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

Red lake: only fly fishing. Spin fishing and bait fishing are not included. Bombarda, jigs and scented flies are banned. A float tube with fins is allowed here. The same red permit also opens orange and yellow lakes. A yellow permit is not enough here.

The reserve has its own rules: camping is banned in the area, fires only on designated barbecue sites. Cars only on marked roads. Permits are sold digitally and in machines at Fiskecentret. Buy before you fish.

Lures and flies

On fly: nymph, pupa and a simple streamer. The tips are general for rainbow trout in a lake. Leave the spinning rod at home — this is a red fly lake. Fish a bay or an edge properly before you move.

When they bite

Morning and evening are often best. In summer the fish can go deeper in the middle of the day. Stocking is decided by Hökensås. Ice fishing has its own season in yellow and red lakes, not in the blue ones.

The map pin is the named lake Lilla Havssjön, Tidaholm municipality. Drive toward Hökensås Fiskecentrum at Håkängen, Tidaholm. Maps are available at the site.

Rules

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal. Quota, boat hire and season belong to Hökensås and they change.
