B-sjön

B-sjön is the put-and-take lake at Kroksjöns Fiskecamp in Tranemo municipality. The camp stocks rainbow trout. Day permits are bought from the machine at the cafeteria. The permit is personal and covers one rod. This page is B-sjön, not A-sjön next to it.

Species

Rainbow trout is the main species. Other species you catch count as bonus fish according to the camp. The page is B-sjön at the camp in Tranemo, not Stora Kroksjön in Ale and not other lakes named Kroksjön elsewhere in the country.

Rainbow trout in a smaller lake with jetties can take close to the bank after stocking. When pressure from the jetties is high they can sit outside the first edge, toward deeper water and toward the island.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

Fly fishing and spin fishing are what you bring. Chumming is not allowed. A float tube is not allowed. One rod per permit. What applies to bait fishing you read with the permit seller — do not assume it without checking.

Fishing in season has fixed hours at the camp. The rule for children and the quota belong to the seller and they change. Check current times before you go.

Lures and flies

Small spoons and spinners in silver, white or orange are a common start where spin is allowed. On fly: nymph, pupa and a simple streamer. The tips are general for lake rainbow trout, not measurements from B-sjön itself.

Fish one jetty properly before you change. The island and the many jetties give several angles on the same water — it also means the fish see a lot of lines.

When they bite

Morning and evening are often best. Stocking is decided by whoever runs the water. Season and ice belong to the camp, not to this page. The cafeteria has its own hours, separate from the fishing.

Getting there

The map pin sits at B-sjön, the smaller lake with an island and jetties south of the camp. A-sjön is the larger lake closer to the buildings and is another water with another permit. Drive toward Kroksjöns Fiskecamp in Tranemo, not toward other lakes named Kroksjön in Sweden.

The permit machine stands at the cafeteria. Bring the card the camp takes in the machine. Park so guests and emergency vehicles can get through.

Rules

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal. Prices, quota and season belong to the camp and they change. Without a permit you may not fish in B-sjön.

Show consideration on the jetty and the path. Take your rubbish with you. Follow the signs at the water, not only the map pin.
