Hamptjärn

Hamptjärn is put and take in Vännäs municipality, in Pengsjö FVO. The municipality writes rainbow trout and brown trout here, and that the permit is separate from Pengsjön. An accessible jetty is mentioned. Not Långtjärn. We do not sell the permits.

You fish two salmonids with different manners — rainbow trout the bolder, brown trout more cautious. This far north the water is cool and the season shorter, and an accessible jetty makes it comfortable to fish from the bank.

Small spinners and a nymph toward stocked rainbow trout and brown trout. General species tactics and therefore not specific to Hamptjärn.

When they bite

Stocking is decided by the association. Ask before you go so you know permit and fish match that day.

Stocked salmonids are liveliest in cool water and just after a stocking, and morning and evening usually give most. In winter ordinary ice jigging is mentioned in the FVO.
