Trylämnet

Trylämnet, also called Trylännet, is Stora Skedvi FVOF’s put-and-take lake in Säter municipality, east of Borlänge and Falun. The association stocks rainbow trout and Arctic char. Only a permit marked Dagkort P&T Trylämnet applies here. Ordinary FVO permits for the other lakes do not apply in this lake.

Species

The main species is planted rainbow trout. Arctic char is also stocked regularly. Perch, pike and zander belong to the area’s other waters, not to the put-and-take permit.

Rainbow trout in an accessible forest lake often move along edges and jetties. Arctic char can sit deeper when the surface water warms. After a stocking the fish can sit tight for a short time.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

The association describes a large, accessible put-and-take water with ten jetties, three boats for loan and a wind shelter with a barbecue site. Fly fishing and spin fishing are the methods we filter on. Bait fishing is not documented on the overview page. Outboard motors are banned according to the seller.

The area has many lakes and a stretch of Dalälven. This page is Trylämnet only.

Lures and flies

Small and medium spoons in silver, white or orange are a common start. Arctic char like what comes down. On fly: a nymph along the edge, a streamer over depth. The tips are general for the species.

Fish a jetty properly. The accessible jetty is a good first choice if you need firm ground.

When they bite

Morning and evening are often best in open water. Stocking is decided by the association, not a calendar here. The day permit applies until the end of the day according to the seller. Ice and winter fishing you read with them.

Getting there

The map pin is the named lake Trylämnet, Säter municipality. The pin for the whole FVOF can sit in roughly the same place; follow signs to the water for the last stretch.

Rules

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal. Quota and what applies to boats belong to the association and they change. Children up to and including thirteen fish according to the seller free in company with an adult.

The lake is marked as family-friendly with accessibility, many jetties, a wind shelter, a barbecue site and a clear child rule. It is still deep water.
