Svartegöl

Svartegöl, also spelled Svartgöl, is Emmabodabygdens sportfiskeklubb’s put-and-take tarn outside Vissefjärda in Emmaboda municipality. The club stocks rainbow trout and Arctic char. Permits are bought digitally. Ödevata Gårdshotell mentions the tarn for its guests, but the permit is sold by the club, not by the hotel.

Species

The main species is planted rainbow trout. Arctic char is also stocked. It is salmonid fishing in a small tarn, not the perch waters around Ödevata.

Rainbow trout in a limed forest tarn often sit along the edges and at jetties. After a stocking they can sit tight. Later they spread toward deeper holes.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

Ödevata repeats the club’s rule: only spin fishing and fly fishing, baited hook banned. Bait fishing is not included. A float tube is sold as its own product; a boat motor is not allowed. Eight jetties, three of them adapted, are mentioned in the same source.

Read the club’s rules updated 2026 — the hotel can have an older quota than the seller. The current figure is with the permit seller the day you fish.

Lures and flies

Small spoons and spinners in silver, white or orange are a common start. On fly: nymph, pupa and a simple streamer. The tips are general for rainbow trout in a tarn.

Leave worm and Powerbait at home. Fish a jetty properly, especially the accessible one if you need firm ground.

When they bite

Morning and evening are often best. Stocking a few times a season is mentioned by the hotel; exact dates belong to the club. Ice fishing has according to the seller the same rules as open water — still check winter’s terms.

Getting there

The tarn sits outside Vissefjärda, about twenty kilometres from Ödevata. The map pin sits at the tarn outside Vissefjärda. There are several Svartgöl in the municipality; do not drive to the wrong tarn.

The permit is sold digitally marked Svartegöl. Do not mix it up with Ödevata’s own ponds at the hotel.

Rules

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal. Quota and float-tube price belong to the club and they change. Children up to twelve fish according to the seller free in company with an adult who has a valid permit, on the adult’s terms.

The lake is marked as family-friendly with several jetties, three of them adapted, and a clear child rule. It is still a deep tarn.
