Hjärtanässjön

Hjärtanässjön is put and take in Ljungby municipality. Långhults Lax stocks brown trout and rainbow trout. The site’s P&T lake, not Vällingasjön. The pin is the lake marker, not the office pin further south. We do not sell the permits — buy via the permit seller.

For stocked brown trout, small spinners, spoons and simple nymphs in olive, black and orange often work. The tips are general for the species and therefore not specific to Hjärtanässjön.

When they bite

Stocking is decided by the manager. Morning and evening are often nicer than high sun on small forest waters. Check an open permit and ice with the seller before you go.

Brown trout is more sensitive to heat than rainbow trout, so cool days and early morning or evening usually give most in a small lake like this. Fishing can be liveliest in the weeks after a stocking, while strong midday sun often pushes the fish toward depth.

Getting there

Långhult in Ljungby municipality. Drive toward the map pin Hjärtanässjön at 56.83 — not only toward the Långhults Lax pin. Park where it is marked. Fires only on prepared sites unless there is a fire ban.
