Sels-Stensjön

Sels-Stensjön is put and take in Sollefteå municipality. Resele FVOF stocks rainbow trout and Arctic char. You buy a special permit for this water – an area permit for surrounding lakes is not enough. Not Prästorrsjön. A fishing ban can apply after autumn stocking until ice premiere.

Species

The main species is planted rainbow trout. Arctic char and rainbow trout. It is the planted salmonids that are fished here, not pike in a natural water.

Rainbow trout in a bounded lake often sit close to the bank after stocking and then spread toward deeper parts.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

The methods we filter on are fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing. Read current tackle rules with the permit seller before you pack. Boat motors are often banned in this type of water – follow the seller, not a forum.

A jetty and an accessible toilet are mentioned. Hire boat in ice-free time according to the association.

Lures and flies

Small spoons and spinners in silver, white or orange are a common start where spin is allowed. On fly: nymph, pupa and a simple streamer. Scent baits can be banned – that is on the seller’s page. The tips are general for planted salmonids.

When they bite

Planted salmonids are liveliest in cool water and just after a refill. Dawn and dusk often beat high sun. When the association last stocked, you read with the permit seller.

A lake at Resele. The map pin points at the named water, not the settlement. Park where it is signed.

Rules

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal. Quota, season and what applies for children change. Bring the confirmation digitally or printed.
