Sarvegöl

Sarvegöl is Fogelfors Fiskeklubb’s put-and-take göl one kilometre outside Fågelfors in Högsby municipality. The club stocks rainbow trout and brown trout. The göl is small, about forty by seventy-five metres, with forest around and parking next to it. Permits are bought digitally. The fishing area is accessible according to the seller.

Species

The main species is planted rainbow trout. Brown trout is also mentioned. Pike and perch can take, but they are not the reason for the put-and-take permit.

Rainbow trout in a small göl often sit along the edges and show. After a stocking they can sit tight. Pressure from other anglers is felt quickly.

In a small göl you reach the whole water from the bank with short casts, and the fish often show as they circulate along the edges. Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

Children up to and including nine fish according to the seller free in company with an adult who has a permit, on the adult’s quota.

Lures and flies

Small spoons and spinners in silver, white or orange are a common start. On fly: nymph and a simple streamer. The tips are general for rainbow trout in a göl.

Short casts suffice. Fish a bank properly.

When they bite

Morning and evening are often best. Stocking is decided by the club, not by a calendar here. The day permit’s validity you read with the seller.

Stocked rainbow trout are liveliest in cool water and just after a fill, and usually take best at dawn and dusk. In a small, fairly deep göl the fish can seek depth in the middle of the day.

Getting there

The map pin is the named göl Sarvegöl, at Fågelfors in Högsby municipality. Drive toward Fågelfors, not toward Emån’s other waters.

The permit is sold digitally marked Sarvegöl. Högsby turistfiskekort is another area.

Rules

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal. Quota and the child rule belong to the club and they change.

The lake is marked as family-friendly with parking next to it, accessibility work and a clear child rule. It is still a deep göl.
