Rämmasjötjärn

Rämmasjötjärn is put and take in Sollefteå municipality. Resele FVOF stocks rainbow trout and brown trout. You buy a special permit for this water — an area permit for surrounding lakes is not enough. Boats are not allowed. Not Prästorrsjön.

Species

The main species is stocked rainbow trout. A planted salmonid water with brown trout and rainbow trout. It is the stocked salmonid you fish for, not pike in a natural water.

Rainbow trout in a bounded lake often sit close to the bank after a stocking and then spread toward deeper parts.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

The methods we filter on are fly fishing, spin fishing, bait fishing. Read current gear rules with the permit seller before you pack. Boats are not allowed here according to the association — follow the seller, not a forum.

Lures and flies

Small spoons and spinners in silver, white or orange are a common start where spin is allowed. On fly: nymph, pupa and a simple streamer. Scented baits can be banned — that is with the seller. The tips are general for fishing stocked salmonids.

When they bite

Stocked salmonids are liveliest in cool water and just after a fill. Dawn and dusk often beat high sun. When the association last stocked you read with the permit seller.

Getting there

A tarn at Resele. Bank fishing in ice-free time according to the association. The map pin points at the named water, not at the town. Park where it is marked.

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal. Quota, season and what applies for children change. Bring the confirmation digitally or printed.
