Pägertjärn

Pägertjärn, also called Persilamp, is Lekvattnets FVOF’s put-and-take tarn at Lekvattnet in Torsby municipality, toward the Norwegian border. The association stocks rainbow trout. Only a day permit marked for Pägertjärn applies here. Ordinary permits for Rottnaälven and the other lakes do not apply in the tarn. Permits are bought digitally and with agents in the district.

Species

Rainbow trout is the main species. Brown trout and Arctic char are mentioned in the association’s other waters, not as the reason for this permit.

Rainbow trout in a clear tarn with a bathing place can be shy in the middle of the day. They often go along the edges when it is cold, and deeper when people are on the beach.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

Fly fishing and spin fishing are the methods we filter on. Bait fishing is not documented on the put-and-take permit. One rod per person. Boats and float tubes are banned. Fishing from the jetty and bathing place is banned while bathing is going on.

At the tarn there is a municipal bathing place with sand, changing and tables. Children up to twelve fish according to the seller on a guardian’s permit. Everyone over twelve must have their own permit.

Lures and flies

Small spoons and spinners in silver or white show well in clear water. On fly: a nymph along the bank, a lighter streamer. The tips are general for rainbow trout in a tarn.

Leave the extra rod at home. Keep clear of bathers when the season is on.

When they bite

Morning and evening are often best, especially when the bathing place is empty. The day permit applies until midnight according to the seller. Premieres can have other terms. Stocking is decided by the association.

Getting there

The map pin is Persilamp/Pägertjärn in Lekvattnet parish. Drive toward Lekvattnet along E16, not toward other tarns in Torsby.

On iFiske: choose the day permit for Pägertjärn. Other FVO permits and season permits for the area are not enough here.

Rules

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal. Quota, extra permits and the inspection fee belong to the association and they change. The child rule on the tarn is stricter than in the other waters.

The lake is marked as family-friendly with a bathing place, changing, tables and a clear child rule. It is still deep, clear water — keep watch.
