Norra Englandssjön

Norra Englandssjön is put and take in Habo municipality, Västergötland. Hökensås lists the lake as a hire lake: the whole lake for a party, with planted rainbow trout. Rainbow trout is the main species. We do not sell the permits — book a hire lake via Hökensås Fiskecentrum. This water is booked as a group or whole lake, not as a loose day permit in a machine.

Lures and flies

For planted rainbow trout, small spinners, spoons and simple nymphs in olive, black and orange often work. On fly a nymph or simple streamer is enough to start. The tips are general for the species and therefore not specific to Norra Englandssjön.

Change colour and depth if it is dead for a while. After a stocking the fish can take near the surface. Later they often want a slower presentation.

When they bite

Stocking is decided by the manager. Morning and evening are often nicer than high sun in small forest waters. Spring and autumn are often pleasant on this kind of water.

Check booking and ice with the seller before you go. An empty report online says nothing about today.

Getting there

Norra Englandssjön in the Englandssjöarna, Habo. Not Södra Englandssjön. Park where it is signed. Fires only on prepared sites unless there is a fire ban.

Take your rubbish home. Keep distance to houses and pasture. The map on this site is a pin, not a parking map.
