Mossasjön is Gnosjö Sportfiskeklubb’s put-and-take lake in Gnosjö municipality. Rainbow trout and brown trout are stocked here. Fly fishing and spin fishing are sold as separate permits. Bait fishing is not included in the products. Other club lakes are members only.
Species
Rainbow trout is the main species. The club calls Mossasjön put and take. This page is Mossasjön in Gnosjö, not lakes with the same name in Mark or Laholm.
Rainbow trout can take from casting spots around the lake. After a stocking they can sit tight. Walk the last bit quietly.
Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing
Allowed according to the permits: fly fishing and spin fishing. Choose the right product. One rod. Boat motors are banned. Catch reports are required according to iFiske.
The permit is sold via iFiske. Buy it before you fish.
Lures and flies
Small spoons and spinners in silver, white or orange are a common start where spin is allowed. On fly: nymph and streamer. The tips are general for lake rainbow trout.
Fish a casting spot properly.
When they bite
Morning and evening are often best. Stocking is decided by the club.
Getting there
The map pin is the club’s marker in Gnosjö municipality. Other Mossasjön exist. Follow the club’s directions, not a random lake with the same name.
On iFiske: choose Gnosjö Sportfiskeklubb / Mossasjön.
Rules
Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal. Quota and season belong to the club and they change.
Look at the map and the signs at the water before you start. Names can recur in other municipalities. The permit you bought should match this lake.
Give way if someone is already at the water. Take the rubbish with you.
Stocking and opening hours can change. Check current times and rules with the permit seller before you go.
Park so that rescue and other guests can get through. Follow signs at the water, not only the map pin.
The permit applies to this water, not the whole area. If the lake is closed for stocking it shows with the seller.
