Kullsjön

Kullsjön is Lerumortens Sportfiske & Fiskevårdsförening’s put-and-take lake in Lerum municipality, along Härskogsvägen toward Härskogen. The association stocks rainbow trout and lake brown trout and sells day permits digitally. The permit is activated with a delay after purchase — buy it in time before you stand at the water.

Species

The main species is planted rainbow trout. Brown trout is also stocked. In the lake there are also perch, roach, tench and the odd pike; they are not the reason for the put-and-take permit.

The salmonids are according to the association bought from Källefalls fiskodling. Size varies. Rainbow trout here is fished from the bank along a forest lake — they can sit both shallow and over drop-off.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

The association calls the water put and take without listing a method ban on the overview page. Fly fishing and spin fishing are the methods we filter on. Bait fishing is not documented — read the day-permit rules. Boat motors are banned.

Parking is at the lake according to the association’s directions toward Härskogen. The association describes the water as easy to reach. Supervision is voluntary.

Lures and flies

Small spoons and spinners in silver, olive or orange are a common start. On fly: a nymph along the bank, a streamer if the fish are hunting. General tactics for lake rainbow trout and stocked brown trout.

Change depth before you change colour. After a stocking the fish can sit tight for a short time; then it pays to fish a spot thoroughly.

When they bite

Morning and evening are often best. The day permit applies until the end of the day according to the seller, but a bite calendar is not published here. Season and ice you read in the permit terms. The association’s warden phone is with the seller if something is unclear on site.

Getting there

The lake lies along Härskogsvägen between Lerum and Härryda, toward Härskogen. The map pin is the named lake, spelled Kollsjön on some maps — the same water the association calls Kullsjön. Do not drive toward other Kullsjön in the country.

The permit is sold digitally as a day permit for Kullsjön. Do not mix it up with the association’s other waters in Södra Lerums FVO.

Rules

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal. Quota and activation time belong to the association and they change. Young people under twelve may according to the seller fish in company with a permit holder, on the adult’s quota; a free own child permit is not offered at present.
