Kramstatjärn

Kramstatjärn is Järvsö FVOF’s most accessible put-and-take water in Ljusdal municipality. Rainbow trout and brown trout are stocked regularly. Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing from the bank and jetties. The public map writes Kramstatjärnen. An ordinary FVO permit is not enough. The P&T permit also opens Gräningen and Simessjön. There is a permit that applies only to Kramstatjärn.

Species

Rainbow trout is the main species. The FVOF also stocks brown trout. This page is Kramstatjärn, not Gräningen and not Ljusnan.

Rainbow trout can take from a jetty. After a stocking it can sit tight. Walk the last stretch quietly.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

Fishing from the bank and jetties according to the P&T rules. Allowed until the seller says otherwise: fly fishing, spin fishing, bait fishing. One rod. Groundbaiting is banned. Powerbait balls and roe are not allowed according to the 2026 P&T rules.

The permit is sold via iFiske. The tarn can be closed for a children’s fishing day — read the seller.

Lures and flies

Small spoons and spinners in silver, white or orange are a common start. On fly: a nymph. The tips are general for rainbow trout in tarns.

Fish a jetty properly.

When they bite

Morning and evening are often best. Kramstatjärn is open year-round according to the P&T rules, unlike Gräningen and Simessjön which have a closed period. Check with the permit seller the same day.

Getting there

The map pin is the named tarn Kramstatjärnen, Ljusdal municipality. The seller marks an accessible fishing spot next to it. Drive toward Järvsö.

On iFiske: choose Järvsö FVOF, the P&T permit or the Kramstatjärn permit.

Rules

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal. Quota and season belong to the FVOF and they change.

The lake is marked as family-friendly with a wheelchair-accessible jetty and a cabin. That does not replace supervision at cold water.

Give space if someone is already at the water. Take your rubbish home. If the tarn is closed for stocking it shows with the seller. Park so rescue and other guests can get through. Follow signs at the water, not only the map pin.
