Brostorp

Brostorp is put and take in Kristianstad municipality, on Linderödsåsen. Kristianstad sportfiskeklubb has two ponds with planted rainbow trout. Day permits for non-members are sold digitally. We do not sell the permits.

Species

Planted rainbow trout is the reason. This page is the club’s two ponds in Brostorp, not Kungsängens SFK in Upplands-Bro and not Camp Mayfly Ekdala in the same municipality.

The seller has named pins: Övre dammen and Nedre dammen. The map pin is the upper pond.

Rainbow trout is the only salmonid here, stocked at catchable size. In a pond you reach the whole water from the bank, and the fish often circulate along the edges after a stocking. In the upper part of the upper pond only fly is allowed, while spinning may be used from the bank and the first jetty — pick the method from where you stand.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

Fly fishing and spin fishing. In the upper part of the upper pond only fly is allowed according to the club. Spin only from the bank and the first jetty toward the road there. Bait fishing is not documented. Three barbecue sites are mentioned.

Nymph and small spinners. The tips are general and therefore not specific to Brostorp.

When they bite

Stocking is decided by the club. Check an open permit. Children under 12 fish on a guardian’s permit according to the seller.

Stocked rainbow trout are liveliest in cool water and just after a stocking; dawn and dusk usually beat, while strong sun can push fish toward depth. In still pond water a slow presentation pays off.

Getting there

The map pin sits at Övre dammen, Brostorp on Linderödsåsen. Park at the club site. Not the two zones the club marks as closed to fishing.

The club acquired the water in 1981 and describes two ponds with planted rainbow trout. A day permit for non-members is sold, separate from membership.

Nedre dammen has its own pin a few dozen metres south. One permit covers the site. Stay on allowed banks and jetties.

Linderödsåsen has more ponds. The no-fishing marks on the club’s map are not part of the permit. The barbecue sites are for those who fish. Take your rubbish home. Fires only where the club marks.

Rules

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The fly zone in the upper pond and the day permit for non-members belong to the club. Current prices are on the permit seller’s page.
