Brännvinsdammarna

Brännvinsdammarna are Harmoni AB’s put-and-take ponds at Dammhuset outside Vinslöv in Hässleholm municipality. The operator stocks rainbow trout, brown trout and Arctic char. Only fly fishing is allowed. Permits are bought digitally; the gate code comes after purchase. Park on the farmyard.

Species

The main species is planted rainbow trout, which may be kept according to the seller’s terms. Brown trout and Arctic char are catch and release. The operator also stocks larger fish. Grass carp is mentioned rarely and is not part of the permit.

Rainbow trout in cold spring-fed ponds can sit shallow. Brown trout and Arctic char often need more caution. After a stocking the fish can sit tight for a short time.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

Fly fishing only, barbless. Spin fishing and bait fishing are not included. Outboards are banned. The same permit includes fly fishing for brook trout in Vinneån next door, catch and release only there — this page is the ponds.

At the pond there is according to the seller a place to weigh, clean and barbecue. A toilet at the entrance. Lodging on the farm is booked separately, not via the fishing permit.

Lures and flies

Nymph, pupa and a smaller streamer are a common start in clear pond water. The tips are general for fly-fished rainbow trout.

Bring barbless hooks. Leave the spinning rod at home.

When they bite

Morning and evening are often best, especially when the mist lies. Full day and half day are sold as separate products. Valid hours are on the seller’s page.

The address is Dammhuset 2209, Vinslöv. The map pin sits at Dammhuset in Hässleholm municipality. Park inside the farm after buying a permit, not along the road.

Choose the pond permit, not the kilo fee for kept fish, until you know what you keep. Prices and kilo fee belong to the seller and they change.

Rules

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal. What may be kept, catch and release and the gate code belong to the operator. Free fishing for children is not offered according to the seller.
