Sunnedamm

Sunnedamm is put and take in Laholm municipality, at Trälshult east of Knäred. The operator stocks rainbow trout and brown trout in a pond and a constructed stream. It is fly fishing only. We do not sell the permits — booking goes via the permit seller.

Species

Stocked salmonids are the product, not a wild Halland stock you find. The operator describes large fish in mixed sizes. A private stretch in Vänneån is mentioned separately — this page is the operator’s pond and fly stream, not the whole river.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

Fly only according to the operator. Spin fishing and bait fishing are not included. Advance booking applies according to the seller, even for a day permit. Do not arrive unannounced and count on a spot.

Lures and flies

In the stream: a shorter presentation, nymph and dry fly when it hatches. In the pond: streamer and deeper lines when the fish do not show in the surface. That is general fly tactics and therefore not specific to Sunnedamm.

When they bite

Season from ice-out to freeze-up according to the source. A day permit follows light, not a clock we mirror. Check with the seller before you go.

Getting there

From Knäred east toward Sjöared/Trälshult, about seven kilometres. The site is visible from the road. The coordinate is converted from the operator’s published GPS. Park in the marked place.
