Simessjön is Järvsö FVOF’s put-and-take lake in Ljusdal municipality. Brown trout is stocked here. Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing. The P&T permit also covers Gräningen and Kramstatjärn. An ordinary FVO permit is not enough. This is not Ljussjön, which has its own grayling permit.
Species
Brown trout is the main species. The FVOF counts Simessjön among the P&T lakes. This page is Simessjön.
Brown trout in a forest lake can take along the banks and from a hire boat. Walk the last stretch carefully.
Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing
Allowed until the seller says otherwise: fly fishing, spin fishing, bait fishing. One rod. Groundbaiting is banned. Boat and float tube need an add-on according to the FVOF.
The permit is sold via iFiske. The lake has a closed period in autumn until premiere – read the seller.
Lures and flies
Small spoons and spinners in silver or dark are a common start for brown trout. On fly: nymph. The tips are general.
Fish a bank properly.
When they bite
Morning and evening are often best. Closure and premiere are decided by the board. Read the seller the same day.
Getting there
The map pin is the named lake Simessjön, Ljusdal municipality. The seller mentions boat hire and a wind shelter nearby. Drive toward Järvsö.
On the seller’s page: choose the P&T permit, not the Ljussjö permit.
Rules
Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal. Quota and season belong to the FVOF and they change.
Look at the map and the signs at the water before you start. Names can recur in other municipalities. The permit you bought must match this lake.
Give way if someone is already at the water. Take your rubbish with you.
Stocking and opening hours can change. Check current times and rules with the seller before you go.
Park so that emergency vehicles and other guests can get through. Follow signs at the water, not only the map pin.
The permit applies to this water, not the whole area. If the lake is closed for stocking, that shows on the seller’s page.
