Sävsjön is one of Kilsbergen Sportfiske’s put-and-take lakes at Villingsberg, Lekeberg municipality. Rainbow trout is stocked here. It is a family lake: fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing are allowed. The same salmonid permit covers Villingsberg and Karlsdal.
Species
Rainbow trout is the main species. Kedjeåsens Fisk calls the waters put and take. This page is Sävsjön, not Stora Svinsjön and not Sörämten.
Rainbow trout in a forest lake can take along the banks and at wind shelters. After a stocking they can sit tight.
Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing
Family lake: fly, spin, baitcaster and bait fishing. One rod. Caravan parking is mentioned at the lake. The fly-only lakes have other rules.
The permit is sold digitally. Buy it before you fish.
Lures and flies
Small spoons and spinners in silver, white or orange are a common start. On fly: nymph and streamer. The tips are general for rainbow trout in lakes.
Fish a bay properly.
When they bite
Morning and evening are often best. Stocking is decided by Kilsbergen. Winter fishing in the family lakes, not in the fly-only lakes.
Getting there
The map pin is Sävsjön on Kilsbergen Sportfiske’s map, Villingsberg, Lekeberg municipality, west of Sörämten.
On the seller’s page: choose Kilsbergen Sportfiske Ädelfiske.
Rules
Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal. Quota and season belong to the facility and they change.
Give way if someone is already on the jetty or boardwalk. Take your rubbish with you.
Stocking and opening hours can change. Check current times and rules with the seller before you go.
Park so that emergency vehicles and other guests can get through. Follow signs at the water, not only the map pin.
The permit is personal and applies to the named water, not the whole fishery. Read the signs at the parking. Catch-and-release and quota are decided by the seller and can change between seasons. If the tarn is hired out or closed for stocking, that shows on the seller’s page, not here.
