Sarven

Sarven is put and take in Norrköping municipality, on Ristområdet north of Svärtinge. Östergötlands sportfiskeguidning stocks rainbow trout and brown trout. Spin fishing and bait fishing are allowed, not fly only. Not Åken 200 metres further in. We do not sell the permits — buy via the permit seller.

Species

Stocked salmonids are what you fish for here. This page is Sarven, not the fly lakes Holmsjön, Holmsjögöl and Lomgölen.

An accessible jetty is mentioned. Typical of this kind of water: the fish can sit close to the bank after a stocking.

Here you fish rainbow trout and brown trout with spin and bait — fly fishing belongs to the three fly lakes next door. Rainbow trout is bold and willing and takes both lures and baited fishing, while brown trout is more cautious and often sits deeper when it is warm. Lures and flies

Small spinners and spoons are a common start for stocked rainbow trout. Bottom bait fishing is mentioned as an alternative. General species tactics and therefore not specific to Sarven.

When they bite

Stocking is decided by the manager. Morning and evening are often nicer than high sun on forest lakes. Check an open permit with the seller before you go.

Stocked salmonids are liveliest in cool water and just after a fill, and usually take best at dawn and dusk. On warm summer days the fish can go slow and pull toward depth midday — then bottom bait fishing can reach them when the lures go quiet. General patterns for the species.

Getting there

From Norrköping road 51 toward Finspång, exit Svärtinge/Kvillinge, then Ristvägen. Right toward Sarven and Åken. Parking at Sarven after about 350 metres according to Naturkartan.

Park where it is marked. Fires only at prepared sites unless there is a fire ban. The map is a pin, not a parking map.
