Översjön

Översjön is put and take in Kungälv municipality, in Svartedalen nature reserve north of Göteborg. Sportfiskarna stocks rainbow trout in selected lakes. The folder lists Översjön among the waters where salmonids are stocked. One shared Svartedal permit applies. We do not sell the permits — buy via the permit seller.

Species

Planted rainbow trout is the reason. Pike and perch occur naturally. Not Timmervatten and not Översjön in other municipalities.

Klarevatten and Övre Långevatten are on the same permit but the folder does not list rainbow trout there. Those pages are not published as PAT.

Rainbow trout is the PAT species here, stocked in selected lakes in the reserve. Pike and perch are natural but not what you buy the salmonid permit for. In a nature reserve the reserve rules sit on top of the fishing permit, so stay on paths and at marked places.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

Bait fishing is allowed here according to the folder, together with Mörtevatten. One rod, one hook according to Sportfiskarna. Fly fishing is included. Other methods only if the folder allows them in Översjön itself.

Children up to and including 16 fish free with an adult who has a permit, on that adult’s quota.

Lures and flies

Nymph, streamer and small spinners are a common start for stocked rainbow trout. The tips are general and therefore not specific to Översjön.

When they bite

Stocking is decided by Sportfiskarna. Casting hours sit with the seller (summer and winter have different clock times). Check an open permit.

Stocked rainbow trout are liveliest in cool water and just after a fill, and usually take best at dawn and dusk. Casting times differ between summer and winter according to the seller, so check the clock before you go.

The Svartedal permit covers eight waters. Only lakes where the folder lists stocked rainbow trout get a PAT page. Grandalen is mentioned as an info board and QR. The nature reserve’s rules apply on top of the fishing permit.
