Nedre Rudan is SFK Lilla Fiskelyckan’s put-and-take lake in Haninge municipality. The club stocks rainbow trout and Arctic char. Fly fishing and spin fishing are allowed. A float tube with a fly and fins is allowed.
Species
Rainbow trout is the main species. The map names the lake Nedre Rudansjön. This page is about that lake, not Övre Rudan.
Rainbow trout in a lake in the Rudan area can take along the edges and at jetties. After stocking they can pack tight. Walk the last stretch carefully.
Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing
Allowed here: fly fishing, spin fishing. One rod unless the seller says otherwise. The lake is closed for fishing according to the club from mid-November to New Year. Permits other than the club’s iFiske permit do not apply.
The permit is sold digitally. Buy it before you stand at the water.
Lures and flies
Small spoons and spinners in silver, white or orange are a common start where spinning is allowed. On fly: nymph, pupa and streamer. The tips are general for rainbow trout in a lake.
Fish a spot properly before you move on.
When they bite
Morning and evening are often best. Stocking is decided by whoever manages the water. Check season and ice with the permit seller.
Getting there
The map pin is the named lake Nedre Rudansjön on the map, at Handen. Rudan is at Handen. Follow the signs toward the nature reserve.
On iFiske: choose SFK Lilla Fiskelyckan / Nedre Rudasjön in Handen.
Rules
Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal. Quota and season belong to the seller and they change.
Give way if someone is already on the jetty or boardwalk. Take your litter with you.
Stocking and opening hours can change. Check current times and rules with the permit seller before you go.
Park so that emergency vehicles and other visitors can get through. Follow signs at the water, not only the map pin.
