Ljusgryten

Ljusgryten is put and take in Katrineholm municipality, north of town toward Vallmotorp. Forssjö FVF stocks rainbow trout and brown trout according to demand. We do not sell the permits.

Species

The association writes that they stock during the year and count sold permits against stocking. This page is Ljusgryten, not Jungfrun and not Forssjön. With rainbow trout and brown trout in the water, and stocking after demand, fishing can be at its best in the weeks after a delivery.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

Here: fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing as long as the association does not say otherwise. One rod.

The permit is bought at the lake, Swish or a machine. Buy it before you fish. The association allows one rod per angler, and the permit applies from the day you buy it.

Lures and flies

Small spinners and a nymph against stocked salmonids. Brown trout wants a more discreet presentation than rainbow trout; change size, colour and depth with the day rather than swapping the whole box. General species tactics, not specific to Ljusgryten.

When they bite

The association states opening hours on its page. Stocking is decided by demand. Check the same day you go, especially if they have warned about a delivery. Stocked salmonids are liveliest in cool water and at dawn or dusk; in strong sun they seek depth.

Getting there

The map pin sits at the named lake Ljusgryten. From Katrineholm road 56 toward Julita, turn off toward Vallmotorp, then a sign Ljusgryten according to the association. Not Jungfrun between Bie and Flodafors.

Park where it is signed. The association does not allow motorhomes or caravans overnight in the parking. Take your rubbish home. The map is a pin, not a parking map. The Buy permit button goes to Forssjö FVF, where Swish and the machine are explained.

Rules

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. Quota, hours and the number of permits per person change. Current prices are on the permit seller’s page. Stick to the quota, respect the number of permits per person and kill quickly the fish you keep.
