Nedre Juckaslamm

Nedre Juckaslamm is put and take in Orsa Besparingsskog, the pair of Övre Juckaslamm. The manager stocks rainbow trout when the waters are open. The name is also written Juckaslampi. Right now no separate day permit is sold — the tarns are closed until further notice. The open P&T permits cover Oravalampi, Karsilampi, Piispanlampi and Pållasnitytjärnarna.

Species

Planted rainbow trout is the species when fishing is on. Not the forest permit’s natural waters.

Rainbow trout in a small tarn often sit close to the bank after a stocking. During the closure you should not count on fresh fish.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

Methods we filter on are fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing. Boats are banned in put-and-take according to the association. Check with the permit seller when the tarn opens again.

Lures and flies

Small spoons, spinners and nymphs are a common start. The tips are general for planted salmonids and therefore not specific to Nedre Juckaslamm.

When they bite

No opening date is set. When stocking resumes, cool water and dawn or dusk are often best.

The map pin is Nedre Juckaslamm in Besparingsskogen, not Orsa town. Permit purchase goes to the association’s page for the tarns that are sold right now.

Rules

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. You do not fish closed tarns. Bring the confirmation when they open.
