Malmsjön

Malmsjön is put and take in Södertälje municipality. Södertälje amatörfiskeklubb stocks rainbow trout. Malmsjön in Enhörna, not Malmsjön at Vårsta which is on Sportfiskekortet, and not the Acksjöarna. We do not sell the permits — buy via the permit seller.

Species

Rainbow trout is the main species, stocked regularly by the club. Perch and the odd pike are present but are not why you buy the P&T permit. Permit money goes to new stocking according to the source. Rainbow trout take lure, bait and fly, and you can fish both from the bank and from a hired boat.

Lures and flies

For stocked rainbow trout, small spinners, spoons and simple nymphs in olive, black and orange often work when the water is stained. A streamer when they hunt. General species tactics, not a recipe unique to Malmsjön.

When they bite

Stocking is decided by the manager. Morning and evening are often nicer than high sun. Stocked rainbow trout are liveliest in cool water and just after a refill, and they usually bite best at dawn and dusk. In strong summer sun they can go slow and seek depth, where a boat helps you reach them. Check an open permit, ice and the latest stocking with the seller before you go.

Getting there

Between Södertälje and Enhörna. Bus 787 stops on the ridge north of the boat jetty according to the source. Not Lilla Acksjön to the west. Park where it is signed, not on private land. Fires only on prepared sites unless there is a fire ban.
