Långsjön

Långsjön is put and take in Sandviken municipality. Sandvikens SFK stocks rainbow trout, brown trout and Arctic char. A P&T pin, not the other Långsjön in the municipality. Rainbow trout and brown trout are stocked regularly. We do not sell the permits — buy via the permit seller.

Species

Lures and flies

For stocked rainbow trout small spinners, spoons and simple nymphs in olive, black and orange often work. Brown trout and Arctic char reward a more discreet presentation than rainbow trout; in winter they take ice bait fishing with small jigs and mormyshkas. The tips are general for the species and therefore not specific to Långsjön.

When they bite

Stocking is decided by the manager. Morning and evening are often nicer than high sun in small forest waters. Check an open permit and ice with the seller before you go.

Both summer and winter work because ice bait fishing is allowed — then the ice decides everything. Cool water, morning and evening generally give most on stocked salmonids.

Getting there

West of Holmsjön at Kungsberget. The map pin sits at Långsjön. Park where it is signed. Fires only where it is prepared unless there is a fire ban. Take your rubbish home. The map is a pin, not a parking map.

Rules

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. Quota, hours and float tube change. Current prices are on the permit seller’s page. The same day permit applies to Härnen, not Holmsjön’s fly permit; stick to the quota and kill quickly the salmonids you keep.
