Bergelstjärn

Bergelstjärn is Tåsjöns FVOF’s put-and-take water in Strömsund municipality, in Tåsjö. The association stocks rainbow trout and sells a special day permit that is not included in Tåsjön’s ordinary day permit. Fishing has been closed since a stocking in June 2025 while an accessible fishing spot is finished. No opening date is published. The tarn is still P&T, but paused until the association says the spot is ready.

Species

The main species is stocked rainbow trout. Tåsjön’s brown trout and pike are a different fishery, with other permits.

Rainbow trout in a confined tarn often stay close to the bank after stocking. During building and closure you should not count on open fishing.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

The methods we filter on are fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing. The permit is for a rod in the hand. Boats may not be used in put and take according to the association.

Lures and flies

Small spoons, spinners and nymphs are a common start when the tarn is open. The tips are general for stocked salmonids and therefore not specific to Bergelstjärn.

When they bite

The opening of the accessible fishing spot comes later according to the seller. When fishing opens again, cool water and dawn or dusk are often best.

Getting there

The map pin is Bergelstjärnen in Tåsjö, not Tåsjön’s large surface. Drive toward Tåsjö, not toward Rörström where other tarns sit.

Rules

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. Ordinary Tåsjö permits do not cover put and take. A fishing ban applies until the association announces the opening. Bring the confirmation.
