Åstjärnen

Åstjärnen is Sörbygdens FVOF’s put-and-take tarn in Bräcke municipality. Rainbow trout is stocked here. This is not Åstjärn in Gnarp, Nordanstig municipality. Konsttjärnen next door is a sibling water.

Species

Stocked salmonids are what you fish here. The FVOF names Åstjärnen as P&T. This page is Åstjärnen in Sörbygden. The tarn has been closed at times — check the seller.

Rainbow trout in a forest tarn can take close to the bank. After a stocking they can sit tight. Walk the last stretch quietly.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

Rules

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal. Quota and season belong to the FVOF and they change.

Look at the map and the signs at the water before you start. Names repeat in other municipalities. The permit you bought must match this lake. Not Åstjärn in Gnarp.

Give space if someone is already at the water. Take your rubbish home. If the lake is closed for stocking, it shows on the seller’s page. Park so rescue and other guests can get through. Follow signs at the water, not only the map pin.
