FAQ about put and take
Put and take is fishing where salmonids are stocked — usually rainbow trout, brown trout or Arctic char — and you buy a permit from whoever runs the water.
Put and Take Sverige is a map and a handbook. We do not sell permits, we do not guess prices, and we do not publish a water without verification, coordinates and a permit link. New to the idea? Start with what put and take is. Already picked a lake? Open the map.
Do I need a fishing permit?
Yes. These waters are not covered by the right of public access. Buy the card from the seller before you fish.
Do you sell permits?
No. The button goes to iFiske, the club site, Swish or a machine. We do not take payment.
Is the seller’s page in English?
Usually not. Club and ticket pages are most often in Swedish. Names of lakes and municipalities stay in Swedish here too.
Rainbow trout or brown trout?
Rainbow is the everyday pond fish. Brown trout is often in cooler or running water. Arctic char likes cold water. The water page lists what we have verified.
Can I take fish home?
That is the seller’s rule, not ours. Quota and keep-or-release change. Read it on the permit page the day you go.
