Tansen

Tansen is put and take in Gagnef municipality, in Dalarna. Gagnef Fiske stocks brown trout in Tansen in 2026. The same area permit as Lässen. Brown trout is the main species. We do not sell the permits — buy via the permit seller.

Species

Stocked salmonids are what you fish here: brown trout. This page is Tansen in Gagnef, not Tansen in Falun (Varpans FVOF) and not Liss-Tansen in Ockelbo.

Brown-trout stocking follows the 2026 plan. A mixed natural lake with planted fish. Typical of this kind of water: the fish can sit close to the bank after stocking and then move deeper.

Change colour and depth if it is dead for a while. After stocking the fish can take near the surface. Later they often want a slower retrieve.

When they bite

Stocking is decided by the manager. Morning and evening are often nicer than high sun in small forest waters. Spring and autumn are often mentioned as pleasant periods on this kind of water.

Getting there
