Stora Bogtjärnet

Stora Bogtjärnet is put and take in Eda municipality, Bortan-Häljeboda FVOF’s named salmonid water with stocked rainbow trout. This is Eda socken toward Bortan–Häljeboda, not Lilla Bogtjärnet and not Vällen or Borgsjön. An ordinary 24-hour permit in the area is not enough. You buy the P&T permit with the seller.

Species

The main species is stocked rainbow trout. The association and the permit seller count the tarn as put and take. In the other waters in the area there are perch, pike and brown trout — those are other lakes, other permits.

Small forest tarn: the fish often sit close to the bank after stocking.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

The methods we filter on are fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing. Read current tackle rules with the permit seller. Youth fishing in the fishery-conservation area does not apply to put and take.

Lures and flies

Small spoons and spinners in silver, white or orange are a common start against stocked rainbow trout. On fly: nymph, pupa and a simple streamer. Scented baits can be banned — that is with the seller. The tips are general for this kind of fishing.

When they bite

Stocked salmonids are liveliest in cool water and just after a refill. Dawn and dusk often beat high sun. When the association last stocked you read with the permit seller.

Getting there

Eda socken, Eda municipality, the forest toward Bortan–Häljeboda. The map pin points at Stora Bogtjärnet, not at Lilla Bogtjärnet, Vällen or Borgsjön. Park where it is marked and leave room for forestry.

Rules

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal and covers the named P&T water. Quota, season and what applies for children change. Bring the confirmation digitally or printed.
