Sarvtjärn

Sarvtjärn is put and take in Sandviken municipality. Vallbyåns FVOF stocks brown trout. You buy a special permit for this water — an area permit for surrounding lakes is not enough. Not Sarvtjärn in Ockelbo. Here brown trout is the main species, not rainbow trout as in Hamptjärn.

Species

The main species is stocked brown trout. The association has asked for smaller fish to be released — read current rules. It is the stocked salmonid you fish for, not pike in a natural water.

Brown trout in a bounded lake often sit close to the bank after a stocking and then spread toward deeper parts.
