Rainbow trout and perch. A kota with a grill nearby.

Stocked fish can sit close to the bank after a planting and then deeper. Typical of this kind of water.

Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing

Here: fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing. The same Ecoadventure permit as Majatjärn. A walk from the village according to the source. Read current gear with the seller before you pack.

Always check the latest stocking and an open permit with the seller, not an old report.

Lures and flies

For stocked rainbow trout, small spinners, spoons and simple nymphs in olive, black and orange often work. The tips are general for the species and therefore not specific to Säfstjärn.

When they bite

Stocking is decided by the manager. Morning and evening are often nicer than high sun on small forest waters. Check an open permit and ice with the seller before you go.
