Lumsen

Lumsen is put and take in Falun municipality, in the middle of Lumsheden. Lumshedens FVO stocks rainbow trout during the season. Its own Lumsen permit, not the year permit for the other lakes in the area. Not Lilla Logärden and not the booked stretch in Borrsjöån.

Species

Rainbow trout is the main species. The association calls Lumsen its put-and-take water. This page is the lake at the village Lumsheden, not other Lumsen lakes and not the other lakes in the same FVO.

Rainbow trout in a village lake can take along the edges and at jetties. After a stocking they can sit tight. Walk quietly the last stretch. You fish with one rod — fly, spin or bait. Choose the Lumsen permit, not the year permit for the other lakes. County: Dalarnas län. Province: Dalarna.

Lures and flies

Small spoons and spinners in silver, white or orange are a common start. On fly: nymph, pupa and streamer. The tips are general for rainbow trout in a lake. Fish one spot properly before you move.

When they bite

Morning and evening are often best. Stocking is decided by the association during the season. Read current hours and ice rules with the permit seller. Stocked rainbow trout are liveliest in cool water and just after a refill, and they usually bite best at dawn and dusk. In strong summer sun they can go slow and seek depth in the middle of the day.

The map pin sits at the named lake Lumsen in Lumsheden, Falun municipality, toward the Gästrikland border. Not Lilla Logärden and not Borrsjöån north of the village.

The association mentions parking and rest places at the lake. Park so rescue and other guests can get through. The Buy permit button goes to Lumshedens FVO. State Lumsen.

Rules

Always check the current rules with the permit seller. The permit is personal. Quota, night fishing and fees belong to the association and they change. FVO permits for the other waters do not apply in Lumsen. Give space if someone is already at the water. Take your rubbish home.
