When they bite

Stocking is decided by the manager. Morning and evening are often nicer than high sun in small forest waters. Check an open permit, ice and the latest stocking with the seller before you go.

Stocked rainbow trout are liveliest in cool water and just after a refill, and usually bite best at dawn and dusk. In strong summer sun they can go slow and look for depth in the middle of the day.

In Kolbäck, Hallstahammar municipality. Parking and a toilet are on the map at the pond. Park where it is signed, not on private land. Fires only where it is prepared unless there is a fire ban.
