Transtrands FVOF
Transtrands fiskevårdsområde sits in Malung-Sälen municipality, Dalarna, around Sälen, Sörsjön and Horrmunden. The rivers Västerdalälven, Görälven and Fuluälven take grayling, whitefish and wild brown trout. Put and take sits in named tarns where the club stocks rainbow trout, brown trout and Arctic char.
One permit covers the area. You do not pick the tarn at the till. This is not Dellenbygdens FVO. Here you can move between the published stocked waters on the same slip, while the permit is valid and the tarn is not resting.
Put and take and the other waters
- Put and take – Kvickertjärn with rainbow trout. The other published pages with brown trout and Arctic char, among them Versjön, Latmanstjärn and Mitvråtjärn. Södra Långtjärn is the fly-fishing lake on the map.
- Other waters – Horrmunden, the rivers, pike and perch. The same area permit, not these pages. Stötens Put and Take is another permit.
Lima FVOF sits to the south with its own dams. Do not mix the permits at iFiske.
The permit and the tackle
The permit is personal. Show it. The day permit is counted in twenty-four hours. The week card runs seven days. The year card runs to the last of December. Locals have their own year card. Price sits with the seller.
Children through fourteen fish without their own permit, with an adult who holds a valid permit, and on that adult’s bag.
Fly fishing, spin fishing and bait fishing when the permit allows, except on Södra Långtjärn where it is fly. Bag and a temporary close belong to the club. Read the seller before you pack.
Practical
Sörsjön to the north: Kvickertjärn, Kvarntjärn, Lövåstjärn, Skarpabborrtjärn, Norra Långtjärn and Sandnästjärn. Mitvråtjärn and Latmanstjärn farther toward Fulunäs. Södra Färdsjön in between. Versjön and Södra Långtjärn clearly to the south. Take the club map. Park where it is signed. Take your rubbish with you.

- One area permit, not a permit per tarn.
- Kvickertjärn: rainbow trout. Not Kvarntjärn next to it.
- Södra Långtjärn: fly only. Not Norra Långtjärn at Sörsjön.

- Stötens Put and Take and Lima are other permits.
